Use this list to implement the brand resources in your marketing and communications projects.

Make sure your projects are appropriately branded with these key updates.

Design

  1. Update logo and wordmark.
  2. Update colors.
  3. Update typography.
  4. Update graphic elements.

Website/IT

  1. Update header and footer, including terminology.
  2. Update colors.
  3. Update typography.
  4. Update graphic elements.
  5. Update favicon.
  6. Adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2.

Content Creation

  1. Appropriate reference and use of university name.
  2. Adhere to editorial and style guide.
  3. Use appropriate brand voice and tone.
  4. Adhere to best practices for key audiences and messages as appropriate.

Video/Photo

  1. Update captions.
  2. Update lower thirds.
  3. Update outro slides/outro animation.
  4. Do not showcase old university logos or mascots. Adhere to best practices related to corporate logos and copyrighted elements.

Marketing

  1. Update all Webtools/Customer Relationship Management software files — email skins, forms and landing pages.
  2. Update email signatures, letterheads.
  3. Update printed and event materials as resources allow.
