Instructions

You can outline and describe the training topic* in this section in two different ways:

  • For basic topics that are straightforward, use bullet points to explain the how-to of the topic.
    • Use bullet lists rather than numbers or letters for information that doesn’t need to be in a certain order.
      • Include sub-bullets as needed.
  • For complex training topics that may involve multiple steps within each step, consider grouping information on the topic into paragraphs and organize the content into major steps. For example:

Step 1: Summarize the name of the step here. (this is an h3)

In succinct paragraphs, write out what is involved in the first major step. Keep adding major steps until the instructions have concluded.

  1. this is the sub-steps you must make to move on to major step 2.
  2. This is a step with a sub-letter step to keep things organized.
    1. By default you will get a bullet for sub-steps, but you can edit that in the list menu. To fix this, click on the list item you want to change.
    2. You should get a toolbar above, in this toolbar click on the far left icon of a line, dot and line, and line stacked to select the parent list.
    3. From there you should see a numbered list option and the tool bar on the right-hand side of your screen will change to allow you to select what type of ordered list you want. (numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters and roman numerals)

Step 2: this is an h3 example add one by typing /h3 then hit the Enter key on a new line

Additionally, if you include in your instructions people/teams involved in the topic, please include roles by position title or team name.
